Since 1977, Cheng has risen through the ranks of our partner company, Amway, from a secretary to executive VP. She is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong and is the only Hong Kong person to hold a position on the Forbes 2009 list of the most powerful women in the world. Cheng now heads Amway’s profitable China and Southeast Asia division, best selling among the company’s 80 international markets. Amway ships more than 30,000 products a day and saw 2008 sales top $8 billion. Fierce in the boardroom and on the social circuit, Cheng holds 10 board and council positions in firms that show an interest in Chinese business, politics and women professionals. She’s also a passionate student of Cantonese opera. [Source]
